Employers should give their staffs at least four weeks’ vacation a year to make employees better at their jobs. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The length of yearly time-off varies from country to country. Some propose that an annual leave of four weeks should be arranged for employees, and I agree that such a policy can enhance workers’ performance.

Irrefutably, it is justifiable for some to assert that such a long vacation may bring certain losses. The mostconspicuousone is that this may make workers suffer frompost-holiday syndrome. To illustrate, excessive vacations maydisrupttheir daily routines and working habits, rendering it hard for them to rebuild or readapt to the previous established habits. It is a commonplace that workers usually feeldizzyor lessself-motivatedafter long holidays, with their efficiency and productivity declining. However, those problems can be avoided as long as staffs have learned to adjust to their work schedule in advance.

Additionally, the four-week holiday also allows workers to either draw inspiration andspice up their livesby travelling around or enlarge the scope of knowledge andtap their latent potentialvia attending extra courses, both of which will make them more productive later in work.
